Description:
Review on the FNH PS90: This gun in my opinion was not designed for long range combat. This gun was designed more with close quarter combat in mind. This is a great gun for sweeping checking structures. The 5.7x28 ammo is versatile since FNH also made a handgun the same ammo works in called the Five Seven. The great thing about this gun is you can have an assault rifle and a pistol that are both made out of light composite material and both use the same ammo. Another bonus to this caliber is that the cartridges are very light weight meaning you can carry more ammo than you would be able to with a bigger caliber. You can carry probably 1000 rounds with you comfortably where as you could only carry 500 rounds of .223 comfortably. Another good thing about this caliber is how quiet it is... I would say it is twice as loud as a .22 which probably wouldn't hurt your ears to bad! The Five Seven Pistol is a little louder than the PS90 and I believe it has to do with the aspects of the different barrels but it is still bearable in either gun. The PS90 magazine sits on top of the weapon and uses gravity to feed thus making it less likely to have a magazine malfunction or a misfeed. Another perk to the PS90 is the spent cartridges spit out the bottom of the stock which could help if you where trying to not give away your position for tactical purposes. The way the spent cartridges eject it is also less likely to hit yourself or a by-standard with spent brass. This rifle is also ambidextrous! The factory magazine when sold in most states comes with a 30 round magazine but is capable of holding 50 rounds. One downside to this gun is Ammo for it is expensive. You will spend as much on ammo for the 5.7x28 round as you will for .223 if not more. A box of 50 5.7x28 ammo is around 30 dollars roughly. Another bad thing is the gun itself is really expensive. I think this PS90 was in the neighborhood of $2,000. The last downside to this PS90 is extra magazines are impossible to come by. If you know where to get one please share...
